Help me ima moron

Well im semi new to the whole subject of backing up my PSX games. and well I gotta problem one of the games that are backed up. on a CD rom makes constant clicking noises when CG movies are being played (it happens to be Final Fantasy V). The original does not do this. Ive tried darn near every plug-in and every setting in config.
as an ISO it worked fine just after going on Backup CD is when it started acting up

oh by the way I use eSPXe

Does the game still run OK even when it is clicking or does it slow down? Maybe the CD burner screwed up while burning. You could try using CD-DVD Speed to scan the disc for errors.

go get the original CD then, try that, so you can isolate the problem. if your original CD works than your backup CD is broken. make a new copy or make an ISO.

ah, i did not see that n_w, well my diagnosis still stands: your backup sucks

so, i would suggest if you want to make a "perfect" backup...use Alcohol 120% (playstation preset) or CloneCD (Game preset). copy the CD (not "on the fly") and burn it at 4x speed. OR using the same presets....make an ISO (even better).

well IMO these programs are not very good for PSX games. good for other stuff, but not PSX.
