Is it possible to improve the speed of emulation of the FPSë?

Compared to the ePSXe, I lose at least 7 fps in each game, and sometimes more

( the speed is sometimes better with FPSë

)
Is it possible to improve this? :confused:

cpu mode 2 up will change the overall speed

enlarging the cd cache or use it will do the same

Ya,I use the cpu mode 2 and cd cache(maximum) and I think it makes FPSE fast by about 5 fps and allmost as fast as epsxe(may be a bit slower).
But in some games I found that its faster then epsxe(especially in cut scenes).
