Best ISO type?

I wonder if there is a type of PSX-ISO that is the best type to run in EPSXE.
I have tried to make ISOs in Nero, CloneCD, Alcohol 120% and CDRWIN...
But I want to know what filetype that is reading better and faster, or is there no difference between them??

IMO CloneCD one is the best, but i dont think it makes a difference except in games that need subchannel. in that case you'll need CloneCD.

.bin images work best w/ epsxe b/c the entire 1:1 cd image is stored in one file. Using Alchohol 120% to create a CloneCD image will create a .img, .sub, and .ccd file. In my case this messed up the sound when playing ffta. Isobuster can be used to create .bin images(and its free)

use the native mdf/mds format in alcohol, and mount it on alcohol's virtual drive, that will work like a charm.

Hmmm most of my games are in bin format. I think I'm gonna re-rip them to iso though. Either format whether it be iso, bin, mds, ccd or anything all works the same. It is really all about what you like.

I use iso mostly, before I knew how to burn iso's as CD-ROMs, I just burned the iso image to a cd and it worked like a charm. bin/cue files weren't a problem for epsxe, but when burning them, I sometimes found that I didnt have a cue file and burning it might become a hassle.

Yes. I don't bother with the internal ISO support anymore.

I prefer CloneCD format. But some are just idiot and remove those .sub and .ccd files to keep the biggest .img file... THEY ARE ALL NEEDED!!!
