Arrow

i would suggest a dual-boot setup, but that would entail having a separate FAT and NTFS partition.

... or if you're using W2K, you could have all of them in Fat32... I think.

Yup, that's right, Windows 2000 can use all of Microsoft's own file systems (FAT, FAT32, NTFS). I'm using that setup right now on a single FAT32 partition (as can be seen on my specs). However, you won't be able to enable active directory or get the enhanced security or any of the advanced/professional NT disk services that NTFS provides.

Two things:

1) You're correct, any of these file systems can be used with Win2000.
2) Active directory has nothing to do with NTFS. :-)

I have a question, can I install Win2000 on a FAT32 system?
