Please don't use all caps in your posting title.

Are you using an emulator? If so which one?

Right... just checking but is the game saying there's no card inserted, or is it saying that the card is corrupted?

Unhappy

its saying no card inserted, even though i have my memory card's image selected..

i can save in any other game no problem... just having problem with FFIV

would it matter if im running the game from an IMG file rather than BIN or ISO?

There is a know bug in ePSXe 1.4. that doesn't you to save under some circunstances. Are you using that version? If yes, you ought to update to the latest. You may also use another emulator. I recommend you Virtual GameSation. It's fantastic. You don't have to configure anything.

Yours,
LiDo884

P.S.: It the problem persists, feel free to PM me.

Angry

i was looking for Virtual GameSation but only found links that are from 2001. it lookes to me as if this emulator is out of date.

as for ePSXe i love it (other than the fact of having to exit every time i wana configure it or switch games)...

I kno there is a problem with the sprites around certain boxes, urns, water tiles in FFIV, has anyone found a solution for it yet? because i read some posts about it just never found a solution.

Right.

First off this is no druggie forum. Kindly remove that avatar before I do. Secondly, vgs is discontinued commerical software. It'll be next to impossible to obtain a copy nowadays. Thirdly here's the workaround that solves the problem in epsxe in my case:

1. Download a memory card manager (recomend psxmemtool: http://psxmemtool.ngemu.com )
2. Create a new memory card using that program. DO NOT FORMAT THE CARD!!!
3. Select this UNFORMATTED memcard file in epsxe, and run FFIV
4. Try to save on the card. It will format it for you.
5. From here on in you can save using this card as normal.

thanks betamax for your help but my icon doesnt promote or dispromote the usage of drugs. An image is an image and i dont think it violated any of the fourms regulations. As for this fourm being a druggie fourm, i dont think any of my discusion where about that topic.

Just because it may not fit your beliefs doesnt mean it cant be displayed.

If you are using codes, the memory card cannot be loaded. Well, it happen when I use the gameshark codes.

I personally think that speaks for itself.

Whilst not expressly mentioned on the rules thread, this fact is implied by the rule regarding discussing illegal activities. The fact remains that it is illegal in most countries, and as such is not to be discussed here.

I have removed your avatar myself. If I see it return stronger measures will be taken.

Strange... works here. I'll upload my memcard after work to see if that's of any use.

Tried FF4 on my machines, it seems that ePSXe 1.6.0 does not recognize memcards.
Then i switched to 1.5.2 and works OK! There are some graphic problems though.

ePSXe 1.5.2

I think it does not contains plugins, so you have to get them separately.
