A Stupid Question.....XP and VGS 1.4.1 can't install.
Ok I am getting to the end of my rope......
I am trying to install VGS on my system however the install complains it will not run on NT. It then just shuts down. Is there a workaround for this? Any way to install so I can then patch it to run on XP ? |

I don't know whether I should be pointing you in the right direction or not. On one hand its a commercial emulator (you have to pay for it) and on the other its dead so even if you wanted to you can't pay for it... Can anyone tell me if I should help this guy?

What I need is a way to install the "FULL" paid for version I have. I paid for it way back when I used 98. Well before XP.
There must be a way to get it to install on XP, even tho it is fussy and it says it will not run on NT. So is there a way to get my install to install? Or do I have to format load 98 then install then copy the folder, burn it, format load XP then paste it to my HD

Yes I know the patch works.
What I do not know is how to Install VGS on XP, when the install will not run because it is complaining that VGS does not run on "NT". So for the 3rd time........ Is there a way to to get the Install to run? The patch allows the emu to run on xp, however it does nothing for the install.

Greywolf, your sig limits are too high. Your sig is too large in kb and also the height should be more than around 150 max. Plz change it to a more reasonable size. And to keep it more around 20kb.
![]() Sorry for going OT but too many people are getting away with this. Think of the 56kers!

VGS.. Fast but definately not compatible. I used VGS back when I had a PII 266Mhz laptop due to ePSXe being too slow. Soon after I learned of ePSXe and never used VGS again. It's horribly outdated, dead, deceased.. etc. Is there a good reason you're using VGS on your 3Ghz computer?

VGS can get past some glitches that ePSXe gets into trouble with. Sometimes its really hard to get the settings just right in ePSXe and VGS gets it perfect sometimes. But on the other hand VGS has some annoying glitches too, but I'e found they aren't as apparant (except for FF7 where the text disappears every few battles. I played through the entire game like that. I had to save everytime it happaned and restart VGS). Some may say its a bad thing, but I like VGS because it doesn't have save states. So I actually have some motive to save properly.

I only own 1 PS1 game, however my nephews have a ton I can use as well. Anyway Grand Tur 2 on VGS works very well so I stick with what I know.
Ok so with the help to install and the patch I am now starting a new GT2 set of cars and will be happy for a month or so. I am just waiting till Nintendo GC Emu's are running better
