The NEVER ending issue - LOM Bugs!

VGS 1.4 will run Legend of Mana perfectly until you get to the part where you have to place your first artifact, then it locks up. This is fixed by patching your VGS to version 1.41. Even then, when you place an artifact, ALL of the animation is gone, just lags and glitches and suddenly the placed artifact is there on the screen. You can hear the artifact animation, just not see it. This is a minor glitch that I can live with. But the one that got me so pissed off is the combat bugs.

Whenever you feirce attack or special attack, you are not able to see any of the animation and the screen glitches up, mainly your character dissapearing. You ALWAYS miss your enemy when this happens.

The only fix to this is :

A not use special/feirce attacks

or

B use a large weapon, like the two handed sword or spear

Ever working around these bugs pissed me off because I do not get to play with my favorite weapons, just the crappy slow ones.

I have searched the entire forums for "Legend of Mana", reading all the topics. In multiple threads have there been people bringing up this issue. No patch or resolution has been given, unless I am mistaken. I please urge you to help me rectify this problem, as I am an very old fan of SoM/LoM games and I wanna play this title, but cannot bring myself to with these annoying glitches.

I tried LoM in Bleem! version 1.5b to see how it ran. Very disturbing.

First off all, Bleem was running 10 times as fast as normal. I lightly tapped the "left" arrow key on my keyboard and the cursor moved left about 5 to 7 spaces.

Even stranger, the music was doing the opposite. It was running very slow. If anybody knows how to rectify this problem please post. I do not need to post my system specs cause they are right above.

hmmm... the graphics messing up (and missing) isn't happening
on my system when I don't got any NPC with me...
but when I enter battle with one the graphics messes up...
so it's only when there's two characters...

Seeing is that the majority of the scenerios require you have an NPC with you that is not a very helpful workaround. Any other ideas would be appriciated, im desperate here!
