Does this game work on VGS 1.41?

When the game starts, it keeps on displaying the loading screen and stays that way.

Is this some compatibily issue, or should this game work perfectly fine?

Hi, Krisso. Yes, I've tested this game about a year ago on VGS 1.4 and it worked fine. I tested it yesterday on VGS 1.41 and it still works without problems, so far. I have the US/NTSC version. The game should work fine for you too... If you have other PSX games, test them on VGS. Do they work ok ? ...if they do not, then maybe there is something in your PC that VGS doesn't "like"...
