Re: Psx Question

yes, you can play copied games with ePSXe. however this site doesnt support piracy, so, buy the game

Re: Psx Question

Why don't you just use an iso of your ORIGINAL cd?

It's better playing it off an image. Then you can put your cd away and keep it in good nick.

Re: Psx Question

good one huddo , you covered what i was going to say.

frog: a real PSX checks for a certain part of PSX CDs...thats the black screen when you first start up your PSX (well...it is here in US/NTSC).

anyway, no PSX emulator checks for that....because it's pointless, and if you make an iso it obviously doesnt have that. therefore, burned games are playable in all PSX emus (but i recommend ePSXe).

but if you are really serious about playing the game, i suggest making an .iso file using CloneCD or Alcohol120%.

Re: Psx Question

How do I bypass the copyright from the original cd to the one I want to copy?

Re: Psx Question

eh? The burned cds wont work on the PSX because you cant copy the bad sectors to the burned cd. It can work on any emu ( except VGS , it needs a special tool ) because the emu doesnt check for bad sectors or any copyright method the PSX use to varify the cd.

edit : if you read the stickies of this thread and the faqs, you would have found the answers of all your questions. Guess some people are just lazy.

Yours,
-Elly

Re: Psx Question

Just follow the first 10 steps on the link i posted before and you will have an image of the game.

That can be used to play on epsxe... as said before, its better playing off an image because the h/d reads the image a lot faster than off a cd. This in turn delivers better game speeds when playing.
