Latest NeoPSX Pics

These are the latest NeoPSX pics, not much of a change but the debug console is more useful than before and the CPU is almost fully able to run all PSX instructions. Give me any questions/ comments/ suggestions.

The first one is a pic of program startup, the second one is a register dump after a console reset has been triggered.

Re: Latest NeoPSX Pics[56k Warning]

After working all day on NeoPSX I've finally gotten the BIOS to run. Here are some screens. No GFX yet as the GPU isn't fully implemented yet. Still have got alot of work to do, but at least the BIOS can now be fed through the R3000A interpreter. Here's a quick list of changes thus far just for reference sake:

*Nearly Complete Playstation instructions interpreter
*Nearly complete(except DMA) memory access module
*Ability to load Playstation BIOS from any valid Playstation BIOS file(i.e. 512K)
*Ability to execute BIOS through interpreter

I'm hoping for a version that runs the BIOS through the GPU(Displays it on the screen) by November or December, but we'll see. Also I'll probably be looking for beta testers soon so that I can shake out any and all bugs before that release. If anyone is interested in beta testing drop me an email at etscrivner@charter.net. Until the next release(very soon), Enjoy these pics

Image 1 = Selecting BIOS from Configs Menu.

Image 2 = BIOS being loaded from file into memory and then executed through R3000A Interpreter.

Image 3 = CPU Register dump after first 100,000 instructions are executed. Considering that most of those instructions are graphical nothing really happens. Also I'm not sure If I loaded the BIOS correctly, but whatever I'll have more time to research that later.

Re: Latest NeoPSX Pics[56k Warning]

Sorry to drag this thread on some more, but I don't want to create a new thread unless I feel I have to. The previous pictures of the BIOS being executed are invalidated. I found a logic error in my CPU Interpreter that was keeping any instructions from being executed. Here is an actual picture of a registry dump after the BIOS has been executed. As you can see the BIOS does move around the registers quite a bit. Once I implement the BIOS printf() function you should be able to see the text the BIOS prints out, but I've got a few priorities ahead of that.

[TO POTENTIAL BETA TESTERS]
I've set up a mailing list for you. Send me an email at etscrivner@charter.net with the title "Beta Tester" and I'll reply ASAP until I get it set up to auto-reply.
