Question image format question

Hi- brand new to the scene, and was hoping someone could point me in the right direction: I am seeing several different file types for disc images (*.iso, bin&cue, img, etc)- I know how to burn an iso successfully, but don't know where to start with bin and cue files. Do I use a specific burning app for each file type? Is there a newbie guide for this?
Any advice is appreciated.

Re: image format question

CDRWin can burn bin cue files
CloneCD can do all since it has a virtual drive so you can mount any ISO IIRC

I personnaly use CloneCD its good
