Crash (Bandicoot) Team Racing problem.

Is it possible to run the game directly from the CD? Everytime I try to do it, it just hangs at the SCEA screen and plays back random Uka Uka sound bytes. Doesn't seem to matter what emulator/bios/plugin combination I use, I get the same results. (Except for AdriPSX, which can get to the next screen, but that's it)

EDIT: ASPI doesn't seem to be the problem either.
If you need specs, I'll post them.

Re: Crash (Bandicoot) Team Racing problem.

I've used two BRAND NEW CD's.
I have used each emulators own plugin and:
cdrPeops.dll
cdrPeteAspi.dll
cdrSaPu.dll
cdrXeven.dll

i've never played this game in ePSXe with the CD, i've always played it from a ISO and it works great. Use a soft cloth to wipe the cd (inside out) and try making an ISO. ISO's are usually faster.

I don't have any software to do that and none of it's free anyway.

Isobuster is free, and some other software is free. ISOBuster and Nero are my favorites for making a good ISO or BIN

Re: Crash (Bandicoot) Team Racing problem.

First off, there is a difference between Freeware and sharware.

Second of all, this idea sucked. The CD is 502 MB and the visible files only add up to about 357 or so MB. Know of any programs for this situation?

It's apparantly a file only the Playstation can properly read.

Re: Crash (Bandicoot) Team Racing problem.

most of the time making a ISO the ISO file will be larger than the cd itself

Re: Crash (Bandicoot) Team Racing problem.

Finally a useful response.

No. Am I suppose to? Let me try that.

EDIT: Nope, didn't help.

And might I add that the CD image did not work either. It does the same thing. Even with the special mooby or whatever it is plug-in.

Back to square one.

Re: Crash (Bandicoot) Team Racing problem.

IIRC this game has copy protection that prevents it working... I think Pete mentioned somethng about it.

Re: Crash (Bandicoot) Team Racing problem.

Yeah, it has one, but IIRC, it doesn't prevent to boot it, but to only play

Re: Crash (Bandicoot) Team Racing problem.

It's very easy to find, but I can't give the link here, cuz the site contains illegal stuff...

And be sure to DL the patch, there is a PPF for each countries
