There is any PSX emu that runs Vib-Ribbon?

Hmmm I havnt tested it myself cuz I dont have the game. I guess the only way to know is to test it with each one.

I tried with ePSXe, PCSX, AdriPSX, PSXEven and the Bleem! demo.
Bleem! is the only one that gets to the "demo" level.
ePSXe and PCSX hang in the loading screen (after the main menu)
AdriPSX doesn't show anything.
Edit: PSXEven Crashes.

Basically, It's a game where the obstacles (4 types + combos) are generated accoring to the music.

It called Vib-Ribbon because all the game is made of lines.

I saw the game being played in a movie on the web. It looks like it gets boring after like 20 minutes. Maybe Im wrong.

maybe, but you can use any audio-cd you want, so you can listen to your music while avoiding some obstacles :P

So I had a friend tell me about Vib Ribbon and I went and bought it at eBay. I have a PAL version but it's nearly useless to me because I can't play it.

I tried it on the Virtual Gamestation on the Mac and it usually hangs during the "Loading" screen after the main menu.

So I tried PCSx, EPSXE, and ADRIPSX.

I got the farthest the first time with Adripsx. I was able to get to the Gameplay screen, and do all the moves, but the music wouldn't play. I thought I'd try it the next day and now it just locks up after choosing the easy mode - it doesn't make it to the gameplay screen like it did the night before. What have I done wrong? Why can't any of us play Vib Ribbon?

AFAIK, no PSX emus can emulate this game, all the emus I know hang after the first loading screen, before displaying the CD/LEVEL menus, except for AdriPSX.
With AdriPSX I have been able to get past the first loading screen and into the level selection menu, but after that it always hangs.

EDIT: It might be some problem with the audio analyzer it has to generate the obstacles according to the music... but if it was that I can't see why it hangs after the first loading screen, and not the second... (like with AdriPSX)

The first time I ever tried running AdriPSX, I was able to get to a gameplay screen - I was on the line and able to to do little obstacle moves - but the music didn't play. It would just be nothing. The next time I tried, I was only able to get to the level select, where I can choose how hard of the music I want. The next time, it hung at the loading screen before getting even that far. It just kept hanging earlier and earlier each time. So any get as far as I did?

So I have a question aside from this a bit. I'm in the US and have a PS2. I heard about Vib Ribbon, bought a PAL version from eBay thinking I could run it in Bleem which I purchased several years ago. Now I find out I Bleem doesn't work in Windows XP, nor does Vib Ribbon work in Virtual Gamestation for the Mac. I only got so far in AdriPSX, anyone have any suggestions how I can play this? If I mod my PS2 to play import games, will it work? Will it work within my NTSC machine and TV? What steps do I take just to play this damn game?

littlebeancurd : sure it will work,buy some decent chip like reaper or messiah,or something like that and you will be fine,that game worked for me on modded PS2 when i had it.
Besides sounds like its problem in audio plugins,not main emu core .. i know a another game .. it works sound is stuck .. Wacky Racing
