Hmm..if the disk drivers could be located, and the link cable for communicating with a PC being emulated... as far as our understanding goes..the Yaroze used GNU tools in a DOS enviroment...that would mean the tools could also be compiled for Linux.... A BIOS file also exists for the Yaroze... (don't ask)... essentially we think it is possible...but who would be interested? Anyways..if someone is interested author wise..e found this link containing the communications software and tools.. http://www.identicalsoftware.com/yaroze/ |

Not knowing what the hell you're talking about, I hit Yahoo for the answer. Unfortunately, I only found an emulator that was abandoned in it's development stages, and was never released. I also fould a post in another forum similar to this, but was never answered to. Sorry

hehehe... Kirby..look here..toward the bottom of the page http://darkwatcher.psxfanatics.com/console/psx.htm Hmm...in reviewing the Yaroze..we forgot about the memcard...it worked kind of like the Magic Gate technology in PS2...you would need the memcard file that contains the protections to run the console...might be something that can be overwritten though |

ePSXe 1.2.0 could run yaroze made games almost without flaw. Only bug I ever noticed was that sometimes fonts went weird. To get them to work you have to use a program to combine the exe, datafiles and LIBPS.EXE into one. Which could then be run using the 'run PS-EXE' option. This doesn't work in the latest versions, something which maybe should be looked into, perhaps add 'run Yaroze-EXE' option which uses the old code from 1.2.0? I cant provide the files but i saw alot of old threads asking if this was possible and I'm just telling you it can might want to check www.yarozescene.co.uk, there may be info there on actually doing it.If you are doing yaroze work at Uni, try and get access to the official newsgroups, lots of stuff available there.. I though Yaroze was a key card that would allow you to play games without a modchip or the sawp trick. The Yaroze Key Card would go in the memory card slot disabling the check for the bad sectors or the security part of a PSX CD. I could be wrong, but that is what I heard so far. You wouldn't really need to make a copy of your PSX CD, if thats what you're asking, just make a backup of it's ISO, then you'll be able to play without the CD. That's how I would sovle things if I were you. My CD drives are sorta slow too, so I look for ways to play (PC games) without my CDs.
