I have a game and the music I want from the game is on the cd (obviously) BUT I don't know how. On the CD is a file called "MUSIC.DAT" which I suspect to contain the music. Could anyone tell me how to rip it out and, if any programs need to be used, could you tell me where to get the stand-alone version of it. I don't care if you music I get is .xa, .wav, .mp2 or whatever. Please help me. I'm a n00b |

PSXMC can handle that job. There is also something regarding a program extracting them like PSF or something. Search the news section for PSF and you will find it. Not sure but i belive the PSF program is better but i dont know how to use it.

It's quite difficult to create PSFs. But rumour has it (at least i think its a rumour) that there will be a PSF logging function in the next release of epsxe. So if you wait, you can rip the songs yourself.

PsxMC can only rip XA audio (and CDDA and some other special formats) from games. It doesn't rip the synth music...
