Saves question

Is it possible to cross save between different regions? I know this is possible for n64, but not sure of the situation here...

For instance, if I play a NTSC version of a game, and make a save, will I be able to continue playing using a PAL cd of the game?

PSX Game Edit can convert saves to different regions, but not all the time.
