I'm having a wierd, but annoying problem with VGS....

I really don't know what's happening. I have Connectix VGS v1.4.1, and i'm trying to get it to run in XP. Now, I placed the 'tnkXfs.dat' in the 'Temp' directory, so it can be detected with Aldo's 'CVGS Video Patch - All Patches In One v1.2', which has SaPu's XP fix in it. Now, i've run it many times before in Xp, but this time it's not working! Instead I get an error message, which you'll see in the attached screenshot. What do I do? I've never had this problem before....if it makes a difference, I have the Windows Service Pack 1 installed....all the help is appreciated.

B.T.W, I tried the 'Convert tnkXfs.dat into CVGS.EXE' option in the Patch, but it tells me that the file it will create won't work in NT/2000/XP.....

Delete your tnkXfs.dat and run the original "Connectix VGS.exe" 1.41 full version english (yes, you will receive the error message) to create a fresh tnkXfs.dat

Then run the video patch, it should work.

Or just get the seperate patch by Sapu and drop the VGS.exe onto the CVGSRun.exe and vgs will run, no tnkxfs.dat file needed.

DB7, do you have the seperate patch of SaPu that you could send me? Or tell me where to get it, if you can.

Sure I do.
Drop me a line at my email address for where you would like it sent, the drag and drop method is the one I use as I have patched my vgs to be able to play Final Fantasy 9 and it no longer creates the .dat file.
Ps. I did buy vgs, it just I haven't got a damn clue where the CD is at the moment. Its a bugger really as it took me an age to find here in the UK.

DB7, I got it to work fine! I did what Aldo advised me to do, and it works. But thanks for your offer.
