"GoodPSX"?
I'm just wondering if ISO's from different (good) CD's of the same game from the same region have identical checksums. If so it would be possible to make a "ISOmanager" for psx games. Or maybe there is other way of detecting good copies... In a near future HD's will be big enough for collecting psx games like people collect roms today. Then such a utility will be desperately needed. =) (for preservation of course...) |

Hmm...that would be a huge undertaking if someone wanted to take a crack at it.....Verification would be slightly different then cart checksums. It would have to be based on game CD sectors. That would mean that the coder would need to have access to all games from all regions....wow...quite the project....interesting though

Seems like it only gives you a list of games and you manually check the ones you have. I'm talking about a program that scans all iso's and check if they're good copies and rename them appropriately, like the Good Utilities. Thans for the info though... =) |
