I can't get this cheat to worl with GT2

I,m having a problem sending cheats to Gran turismo 2
I,m using this cheating application called (pec) it says it sent the cheats to the Emulator but it just won't work here is a Snap shot on what this thing is doing.....
after you look at the snapsot picture, I,ll start my emulator and will play the gane and the cheats won't work at all !
Can someone please tell me whats going on

Are you using the cheats for the appropriate version of the game?

are you using the Win XP patch? i also have problems with PEC whenever i use that patch to run VGS on winXP. that problem doesnt occur whenever i run it on Win 98

you don't understand I,m trying to get the cheats to run on ePSXe also I don't know which version I have for gran turismo 2, on the case mine says Greatest HITS plus I,m running Windows 98

If you try it on epsxe, open the plugin config menu after you "send cheats to plugin".. Then close the plugin config menu and begin the game..
