I'm using ePSXe for linux at the moment, and it's been good for me. Now "windows" plugins won't work, you'll have to use some specialty linux plugins: http://www.ngemu.com/psx/plugins.php?page=linux I had some fun times setting it up, so don't hesitate to PM me if you have more questions ![]() edit> oh yeah, before I forget, you need Mesa and GCC installed with some of the specialty 3D hardware acceleration drivers for your card. I'll do another edit when I find them. edit #2> sorry, I couldn't find anything for the Bashee on linux see what RedHat can give you.

I'm running Redhat Linux v7.3 at work and at home. EPSXE seems like the best PS1 emu for Linux. 1) Download and untar-unzip Epsxe. It is the binary version you don't need to compile the source 2) Download from ngemu the plugins for Linux. You'll need at least the following: 1 GPU plugin ( Pete OGL is great ), 1 cdrom plugin, 1 sound plugin and 1 controller plugin if you don,t use the keyboard 3) Find and download a ROM ( scph1000.bin for NTSC ) Redhat 7.3 includes out of the box hardware 3D acceleration for Voodoo Banshee, Voodoo3 and Voodoo5 through DRI so you won't have to install additional software for that ( my Voodoo5 run great with Epsxe and Redhat7.3 ) I suppose it's the same for Redhat 8.0 check if you have graphics 3D acceleration installed with the "glxinfo" command. You should see a line that says: direct rendering: Yes Good luck |
