I've beaten this game in vgs. Its almost perfect. The only problem is that sometimes u can't select your enemies in battle. U have to escape or reset. But that only happened 3 times for me. U'll need Psytek patch (http://www.aldostools.com/patch/ff9fix5.zip) or the aldo video patch http://www.aldostools.com/vgsvideopatchxp.zip). BTW, this only aply to the original version. The pirated version have some problems. (I think it freezes at the end of the second cd)

Provided the copy is good it should not matter, of course you already own the game don't you. Also I thought the not being able to select your enemies was a problem with ePSXe not VGS, I have encountered that problem several times with ePSXe but never with VGS, I would be interested in hearing more about this, I have the UK pal version of Final Fantasy 9, does the problem only happen in VGS with other countries versions.

I've finished this game using a patched VGS almost a year ago. No problems encountered.

Remember that you still need to "patch" the .exe first with the FF9 patch and then put the games.txt file in the same directory. Both can be found at aldostools.com
