The original Nintendo really was a big impact i spend hours playing and passed yeras before that console had a really competitor like Sega Genesis or Super Nintendo. Even today there are people selling pirate versions of that console.

IMO the NES and the PSX were the couple of consoles that had the biggest impact. PSX is almost dead and still refuses to die.
I'm not including PS2 or GC because they're still alive and have a lot to show us.

BTW: it number of the Atari was 2600 or Atari VCS; there was a later version, slightly improved, called the 7800.

I didn't vote because the Nintendo Gameboy was not on the list. This system was released in 1989 and is still being sold in stores to this day...however I think with the advent of the GBA I think we might begin seeing a phase-out of the GB.

I think the PSX comes a distant 2nd, and NES being 3rd.

Gameboy survived after 2 miracles. It was outsold by Sega's Gamegear from 1990 till 1997, thats when sega game gear dided. and even after the death of gamegear, gameboy profits were very low, but thanks to the wise desicion of Nintendo, Pokemon revived Gameboy, and thats why gameboy survived,.....otherwise it should be dead by now,.......

Even gameboy advance is not better than gamegear,...execpt for portability and size,...nintendo is still not taking adavantage of what is so called "32-bit technonlogy"

Some might not argue wth me , but ill post a screen shot to support my idea!
