Nah, dont buy stuff, if you can make things by yourself You would feel MORE satisfied of using it. - but its your choice!

hi!
hehe ... you are right ... but not everybody is a electronic-genius like you And the second problem is that you can't get these self-builded adapters to work in Win2k ... because they all use the DirectPad Pro driver and they need Win9x. I prefer my USB-Adapter ... you simply connect it to the USB-port and it works fine without extra drivers ... (this is maybe the only useful use of USB ... to connect a psx2pc adapter to it )Cu, JNS |

OK.. may be being a bit optimistic here, but does anyone know where any of the above are available in the UK (or at least Europe), since payng £20 postage for a £10 adaptor makes my ears bleed!

you're kinda correct not everyone can build electronic devices. these adapters are some of the easiest things to build tho. the 2nd problem is only if you build a direct pad pro adapter. you can build the usb adapter yourself as well (even with both PSX and N64 pad interfaces): http://www.stndev.btinternet.co.uk/usbpads.htm however this one requires programming the microcontroller (source code available, just need to assemble and upload it), or buying a preprogrammed chip. I can do the electronics, I just don't fancy spending a small fortune on the chip programmer, when a ready built adaptor costs about £4 (without postage)... surely SOMEONE in the UK must be selling these things!?!?!

hi!
lu_zero: You got the DirectPad Pro drivers to work on Win2k ? That's unbelievable for me ... because the orginal drivers doesn't work in Win2k. Or do you have any Win2k drivers for it ? Where do you got them ? Cu, JNS |
