How do you play ISO on VGS??

i use daemon tools to emulate a cdrom..then mount my game to that...but for some reason stupid VGS only wants to read the real cd rom. is there a way to fix this? or is vgs just that ****ty and only plays actual cds

Make sure there are no CDs in your drives before you mount an ISO and start VGS. It'll see it.

Why would you want to use an ISO anyways? VGS plays perfectly with CDs. You won't really get any performance boost playing with ISO, it'll still read the data at the psx read speed of 2x.

Maybe he's too lazy to load CDs into the tray all the time.

So? Drives nowadays have such cavernous capacities that 700MB isn't that big anymore.

This has probably already been answered, VGS searches the CD drives in alphabetical order, so you could in fact use the device manager to change the drive letter of your deamon tools virtual CD drive so that it comes before your REAL CD drives, then you wouldnt have to bother ejecting your normal CDs. Eg. I have a deamon tools virtual drive as V: on my system, and my other CD (DVD) drives are Y: and Z:

Oh, and by the way, Deamon's Tools 3.17 has been released: http://web589.server16.y-w-s.de/main800.htm
