Actually, this is more a VGS oriented question rather than a game oriented one. So I'm going to move this thread to the Commercial Emus forum. Perhaps you'll get more help with it in there. I hope so.
sincerely,

not really,.....it might be a software or a hardware compability bug. i have an AMD athlon XP 1800+ 1.54GHz ,256 RAM and G force II MX 64MB card and still VGS is running slow .

i dont think so,......even if its demo it should nt work slowly,....i mean demos are the same as the originals,..they just can't save or adjust brightness, and by the way, i stopped using a patched demo , instead , i borrowed a full version from a friend of mine and still same problem

It's not illegal. It's perfectly alright to lend someone your stuff, you just can't copy it for warezing purposes (you're allowed to have a single backup copy for yourself I believe). I myself lend game CDs to my friends all the time. Besides, he's just trying to solve his problem and his friend had the full version to test.

As for the problem try using different videocard drivers or Aldos' Video Patxh XP (available at Aldos Tools). Also try checking the disc to make sure there are no scratches or errors on them. I've played through Megaman X5 many times on VGS and it worked fine every single time.
