Is psx emulation reaching its peak!

With the arrival of next gen consles games on playstation have dropped and could soon be discontinued with epsxe and other emus with about 90% compatability will psx emulaton become perfect!
I mean it has to stop some where.
P.S Whatever happened to that emu skyway gamer?

It will continue, as Gens and ZSnes development continue. It will continue until the emu's are perfect, and seing as how nothing can ever be perfect in the eyes of the public...

Another one of those useless questions.

Lord kane wrote words of my mouth though.

psx emulation will continue until there is perfection and perfection will never be achieved.

itīs rather as seldom case that a console that is stil alive on the market has good working emus. Most emus are for consoles no longer on the market, like NES and PCEngine.

and then it reaches a point where people will still buy a real nes or genesis to play their old favorites

Damn, I want a PCEngine CDrom2 so I can play DraculaX (I know there is YAME) but the real thing is always better

emulators are best for older consoles no longer available for sale. snes games can't really be bought anymore so emulators give everyone a chance to play the original games.

the psx will eventually be defunct, though not as quickly as the n64 since the games can still be played with ps2 unlike the carts.

when it is the games will probally be downloadable and emulators will then near perfection because no more games will be released.
the emu can then focus on the existing games and continually improve the emu to fully accomadate them.

then again, playstation technology may be fully emulated but new pc technolgy will need to be supported; new versions of windows new cpus, maybe even entirely new operating systems...
