EpsxIPc Early reports

Wow finally another new psx emulator and as soon as it was out i started doing my testing stuff again.
Here are few early reports-
1. Good compatibility - I wasnt expecting this much compatibility in the first release itself but looks like Mauro did a great job. Barring few games most seems to be working.

2. Nice speed - To me the emu looks as fast as adripsx in most games, though very few games are slightly slower. so overall speed is as good as we could have hoped. Nice job Mauro again.

3. Psemupro plugins support - All external graphics plugin seem to be working fine until now but internal cdr plugin doesnt seem to be working on my windows ME. I have to use pete's cdr plugin.External sound plugins (I tried eternal lite and pete's dsound) are crashing the emu. Internal sound plugin isnt giving dialogues in dino crisis even when all sound options are enabled.

4. Game Problems - Some games stop working after some time (i.e. they are sort of paused while emu itself works). e.g. Dino crisis ,Tiny toon etc.

I will be posting screenshots in screenshots section.

I tested it with Legend of Mana.. For a first release, it's very good.. MDecs run fine, ingame is running perfect.. Lewpys glide pluggin working fine.. Remember the old graphical glitches in epsxe with this game.. Well, this first release also suffers from such glitches..

Still, it's a great emu.. I wonder if this emu is faster than epsxe? Speed testing commencing..

On my system ePSXiPC is around ~20% faster than epsxe, i can run chrono cross with filter at around 55-60 fps, flat rate.

EDIT: This being a hack of epsxe im suprised, but it should not be hosted by any emu sites nor should mauro have "special" status, if not being banned... not a good move.... no respect for the true ass kickers, _demo_ ,calb, and gatlor, i give you guys my thanks for such great work, and hope that nothing like this will affect you, nor happen again.

mauro

Maybe because it's a hack of an older version of epsxe..

possibly.. but as i said before, this emu should get NO thanks nor respect, i think that "mauro" is an n64warrior clone, making him, psxwarrior lol. anyway if i had the capability i'd ban his ass right here and now.. that's just me and my respect for the hard work emu authors put into it, for nothing, for gamers... thanks again guys
