FMVs

Is there a program that would allow me to watch the in-game FMV's directly from a PSX cd, or to make a .mpg, .mov. .avi or a similar format out of the FMV?
Thanks!

it's better if you finish the game(s) first. i ripped two of my game's fmv without playing it and ended up spoiling it.

?

By spoiling, do you mean that it spoiled the ending for you, or that it damaged your cd?
I sure hope it's the fist one
Oh, and spoilers don't usually bother me

He meant that he could see all the FMVs including the ending, so if you haven't reached the game's end yet, he advised you to wait until you finish it. Of course, if you don't care about spoilers, then go ahead. Nothing to do with damaging any cd.

I used psmplay to view the fmv of my games, but it didn't work on xp, so I'm now using psxmc... but psmplay is better (at least for me)

Windows XP does not have and ASPI layer. You can, however use ForceASPI to create one. I did it and it works great. This will make PSMplay (and several others) work.

with ffs (?) and games which have large binary files, u can still view the movies

just find a scan cd-rom thing (whichever psx prog u use, psmplay/psxmc) and it should show all of the audio/video on the cd, it's up to u tho to figure out what vid's they are tho as they're just numbers
