PSmplay on XP?

Hi

I was wondering are you able to use PSmplay on Windows XP? Because whenever I try to run it, it comes up with an error message saying that it can't find a certain file. I have attached a pic of the error. Could you please help..

..or is there another PSX movie player I could use?

I use it on XP with no problems. Have you installed Force ASPI?

I use PsxMC, and it's the best, IMO. You should really try it. Of course, if you don't have an ASPI layer installed like Kane said, it won't work either.

And where could I PSXmc from?

Install Force ASPI from here
PSXMC can be got from the NGEMu download database IIRC

I installed the ASPI layer and configured it...

Now i have another problem though...I open the program..i go to file>open media>and i select FMV001.str from the Final Fantasy IX disc 1 and it says:

The file format is unsupported. (CODE = 00000000)

Please help..

nothing seams to work for me

... i tried PSXMC and when i open it it comes up with the error message:

It is not the environment which can use ASPI.
CD-ROM cannot be used.

Ever since I got XP Pro i havent been able to use these programs.

Did you restart the machine after installing the ASPI layer?

excepand for t i need alot more ram coz my machine is wayyy to slow. Well thanks again. Oh yeah one more thing...with the avatars..how come i can only get ff9 ones? u have better ones
