Question Remotely controlling PS2 via USB bridge?

Has anyone started on any projects that can emulate a GameShark Pro, or a sharkport using only a single USB-to-USB cable? I am fairly sure it is easy to do, but I haven't noticed anything.

What do you mean by that? Connecting the PC to a PS2? That's not possible. A PS2 doesn't have USB-Port but a Firewire one (aka IEEE-1394 aka i-Link)

I think PS2 has TWO USB ports (usually used for mouse and keyboard). Well, at least mine does.

anything USB is NOT easy to do yourself.

Because any device connected via USB needs a microcontroller inside. Programming such a controller requires quite a bit of expertise.

I don't see anyone would start on such a project unless:
1. It's commercial, or
2. The guy is nuts.

Sure, damn.
*notice to me: think next time before your write*
But it has a firewire port, too, right?

There is that tiny squarish port. I think it is firewire. It's got an IEEE number, you can check.

BTW, I think the Logitech PS2 steering wheel uses the USB port as well

That must be that firewire-port which is known as IEEE-1394 as well.
