hey now it says it cant run because tnkxfs.dat does not exist but it says if i run vgs and exitt it it will be created. But how if the patch needs that to run and the vgs itself needs the patch to work how the hell am i suppost to create this file

tnkxfs.dat is an "expanded" version of the VGS .exe. I guess you can say it's the actual "emu" running your games.

I guess your only chance is to try patching your .exe with the P4 patch until it somehow runs. If VGS was still in Connectix's hands, it would've released an official patch, but as we all know, Sony now has the emu and all its rights in its grubby hands.

I guess it's another reason to buy an AMD cpu, eh?

I will help you calm down now.First thing to do that you must try to run VGS1.41 at least one time and it will create a file name :
tnkxfs.dat in c:\windows\temp\???\tnkxfs.dat.
The second you must enter www.aldostools.com and download Petium4 Patch ,there are two files to patch,let download both of them. Then run file that have smaller size than other,you can play it normaly from now. After that if you need more support for that,let try the lastest file. Every time you want to play games by VGS you must use the first patch tp play.If I don't missremember the first patch is the zip and it's have 5 files of exe,let use one.Wish for your succeed. ^_^ And for me too.

Can you play VGS rightnow?I mean that two patch : a patch for Modchip,Backup CD,...allow patch for pentium4(but it not work all time) and a patch have size under 100Kb(have 4 files in,let use that).And don't use 1.41 Demo ( it really bad ) , let use VGS 1.41 ( the patched emulator ) ^_^ . If you can't find it , let wait for my next post tomorrow , I will help you . I must go to bed now . Now was 11 PM

when i try to update the 1.4 to 1.41 it always has an error its weird. actually i think only version 1.4 is on my comp and thats it so maybe thats y it isnt workin. but i used the video patch from aldos tools and it had the p4 patch in it and on the bottom of it it had 1.4 highlighted and it almost worked it said we recomend u use a pentium 2 or higher then it went to that blue screen when theres an error

No,it's work on every VGS.I used to play by VGS1.41 and VGS1.4.Don't disapointed.Let go to www.wwemu.com to find it or
you can go to www.emurayden.com to find.I don't remember where I downloaded it.I have it now but I can't send it to all you because my internet was too slow( I am living in Viet Nam )

Your rig is more powerful than mine, so unless you're a complete idiot or incredibly lazy, you should be able to configure ePSXe and play your games with no problems.

No,some games played good on epsxe1.52 but it's not run on VGS1.41 and epsxe,too.In fact that I like to play games with Emuraydenv2.0E but there aren't patch for pentium 4 right now.BIG SAD.

And this is my advice that you should use two emulator.VGS for some games play too slow or can't run on epsxe,and vgs too.VGS take you with a fast game than Epsxe many times but not more compalities , no smooth than but it's really a good emulator for a slow system.
