I was having a lotta fun with my psx pad which was connected via LPT then one day, the 9v and the 5v got disconnected from the inside from the pc, I didn't remember how to connect them but I did anyway (with the pc in off of course) and I turned on the pc and the pad started to slightly vibrate, and it scared the crap out of me cause i knew something was wrong, then i remembered how to connect it right but it was too late, ntpad wouldnt recognize it, and I don't know what to do, remake the adapter? or buy a new psx pad? In short, I mixed the cables, screwed up, i don't know how to fix it? |

i dont think you can burn out the adapter unless you fry a diode somehow. i would assume that its ok, since i also fried a controller once (short) and my adapter is still good.
