Um, running Windows XP? If you are then VGS doesn't work at all in XP, even in Windows 98 compatability mode.

Not sure, I think I heard of other users having trouble with VGS with Athlon t-birds, can't remember, but there might be a patch at aldo's site for vgs that might fix the problem, can't remember link to there though.

By any chance are you using Nero? Nero Burning ROM's known to cause problems with VGS. Also make sure you have the latest drivers installed for your devices and the latest DirectX.

Yes and Yes. I am using Nero. I am using special software. This may be the problem. Question: which PSX EMU do you like better, VGS or ePSXe? Or Maybe bleem?

I use both. I use VGS because it's simple to use and runs games so well. I use epsxe for the graphical improvement since VGS doesn't do 3D games any justice at all. Nero is probably causing problems with VGS. The best solution would be to delete the nerocd95.vxd file (contained in C:\Windows\System\iosubsys\). It should stop conflicts with VGS while still allowing you to use Nero.

Thanks, I will try that. I used to be a diehard VGS fan, but I like the Graphics AND(and no one ever mentions this) sound of ePSXe. And with Lewpy's Glide plugin, I can get all my games(all 4 or 5) to run at perfect speed with 2 or 3 times the graphics of VGS. I still like the compatability of VGS though, The developers should make a GPU for ePSXe!!!

To delete, in the post you want to delete, just click edit, then select the Delete checkbox, then click on the Delete button beside it, and it's gone! ![]() I also like VGS, but I tend to use epsxe more cause I'm always in Win2k, and VGS doesn't work with it.

Thanks. VGS is working... If I have anymore problems I will probably post a new thread. I like VGS too. If nothing else, than for the simplicity and the so-far 100% compatability.

y2haider, VGS has higher compatibility than epsxe? Now when did that happen? "Abey tera demagh to kharab nahi ho gya kia?" epsxe is the best no doubt, but it may be a pain in the a** to configure it sometimes. Not with me. I enjoyed configuring it . |
