Does sony own connectix??

or do they only own VGS...

and where has the programmer for VGS gone?? do connectix still ownthe source code??

Just VGS, I have no idea what happened to the VGS programmers, and Connectix no longer has the source code (at least not in public sight ).

The emulator was bought out, rather than spending a lot of additional money on a court case Sony may or may not win. The fact that VGS is no more is not a coincidence.

Does anyone know how much it costs?VGS? (I am not going to buy it, just asking to know how much sony paid)

i think it costs like 49$ or something. but you can't buy it now anyway since Sony scraped the project i think

You didn't get the point, I was asking about how much Sony paid for VGS. Off course I know it costs 50$ But definetly Sony didn't buy it for 50$ !

I think it's unknown..but I hope for connectix that it was enough to cover most of the costs they made.
I think Connectix just did what they had to do. VGS got pirated bigtime and they made even losses on it, both in sales and in lawsuits...I would get rid of that as well.

Sad, if it still alive maybe they can add HW acceleration in VGS...It will be the best emulator IMO.

well actually sony owns VGS they bought the whole project and dumped it so there will be no emulator company to sue...

and by the way epsxe is better than VGS

theyre still alive, but vgs is not theirs anymore...even if it were, you wouldnt have to expect any updates.

That Virtual PC program, that's from Connectix as well.

if i have the money one day i would pay the orginal VGS programmer and the current epsxe programmer to program a PS and PS2 emulator.....

combaning the complablity of VGS and HW acc of epsxe...

Yeah actually it will be a good idea to get those VGS programmers to participate in current PSX emu projects, of course I would say it's a very long shot just yet.
