PS2! The Poll

As I said here's a poll to discuss the argument.

Hey, I didn't say didn't need emus, I just voted that I don't need these two right now.
I think decent emulators for systems like Saturn and 3DO eg. would be more interesting.

I don't care. I have enough stuff to play now that I don't need a PS2 emu.

You don't care and have enough stuff? I think that you either own a PS2 or you are not a hardcore gamer. Just have a look at PS2 titles and you'll start thinking of buying a PS2 or either emulating it.

I consider myself a hardcore gamer but I mostly play PC games. I find they're generally more action-packed and have way better graphics. I only play console games for RPGs and a few select others. Until the PS2 and X-Box have sufficient amount of good RPGs I couldn't care less about them.

Morden's quest! Ahh, my favorite game. Text adventures are kind like tose books where you make the decision as to where to go next.

It requires no explanation. If you do not understand, then obviously you do not qualify.

Makes for a great t-shirt slogan too.

I also considered myself the same. But there were not enough good sequels on it. Like I am a WWF fan and then when was the last time a WWF game was made for the PC? Smackdown sequel continued on PS2.
Again, as I liked the RE series. I waited for a sequel, but when I heard that Code Veronica will only be on PS2, I was again pissed.
Then came other games like MGS2, GT3 A Spec, Hot pursuit 2.
Now the PS2 games are so many and so good.
Most of the time they have better special effects. Consider Fifa 2002. There are no flames in the crowd which looks great on PS2.

All these led me to buy a PS2. Moreover I had this option of either updating my system or getting a PS2.........

I wouldn't worry about the emulator being too early. There won't be a particularly playable version for a while (unless you like to sit there and play demos all day long ).
