Have you tried playing it on an ISO?
If you still get the same problem, it's probs the SPU, and I'd suggest toying with the SPU irq hack.
If you are using any but the internal plugin, you want this option off in the emulator, and on in the plugin.

Whoops.... You could try Daemon tools to load the ISO though. (Teach me to check which forum it's posted in)
If you have a half-decent computer, it'll work beautifully in ePSXe (I used it on a Athlon 650w/Ge2MX at 50FPS constant)

well...... I used VGS to finish VS..... didn't find any problems, I was using win98 SE, a CMI 8738 sound chipset, 64 Mb of RAM, a SIS620 video chipset, pentium III 550 Mhz.... atapi 52X CD-ROM (?)

found no problems....... try again and be more specific... at least, what I found was that the sound was horrible, and the graphics pixellated as hell.... but the color was good and you could play it fine......

Try running the CVGS Tester program, it may adjust the CD-Rom/system timing and stuff like that.
