i am new...need help for VGS

hi everybody...
i wish to try VGS...but i don't know what i need...
i downloaded the VGS.exe then i got.. a patch with an exe file called VGSPLE2.exe
and finally i got a file called games.txt.
i put all in a directory...and i run VGSLPLE2.exe
but it reply to me a window error message (i think) with the path of the emulator in the description of the error message..
????
after that i tried to run the vgs.exe file...and to play final fantasy 7...but the graphics is corrupted...i cannot read the text..during battles...ecc
help me..i want to play ff7 and ff9 with vgs

ff7 plays fine with vgs.
search www.aldostools.com for the ff9 patches section.
