Exclamation in-game speed

ok i fire up vgs with a game in it and it starts up fine, the mdecs run beautifully and then i get into the game and it seems like the frameskip is set to 200!!:confused: specs:k6-2 500 with modified cxt core, 128mb sdram, 32mb edo ram = 160, 32mb savage4 video card with the latest and greatest drivers

Is it always like this? or did it start acting up recently? Something might be putting a strain on your CPU which is cause the emu to slow down (or mega frameskipping). Check what programs you have running in the background

it's been like this since i got the 160mb ram and savage 4, upgraded from a 1mb vi card, 32mb ram, which wouldnt play vgs at all... i tried using a diagnostic startup and it is better much more playable thanks for your replies man

also, it seems my cdrom sucks for vgs, because when i let the level load then eject the cd there is no music but it runs wondrfully.. i have a 32x creative labs drive somewhere, this one is a generic 52x.. i guess ill try the creative.

ok i got the 32x and hooked it up tried vgs and, whew, vgs rox thanks for all ur help

I also have a two drives, an Accr 24x and a 4x/8x CD-R writer. And I get much better performance with the Writer.

i have an hp cd writer 8x4x32 that i could also try.

hmmm... upgraded plz

on my old gear K62 500 - on K6BV3+/66 - TNT 32 MB, 128 SDRAM, 20 GB HDD, with iso.. hmmm almost all games running well with iso

i compare it with another machine PIII 733 on P3V133 , only 8 MB AGP SIS, only 64 MB RAM and 15 gb HDD hmmmm its better than AMD K62 500 (VGS not using 3d)


sooooooo UPGRADED ur PC
