help with digimon world 1 plz

I need help with my game digimon world 1(DMW1) it seems that whenever I win a battle and get an item from the battle, it freezes up and I can't close the battle window, also when I train him and it shows how much stats I've earned I can't press anything, but the thing is it works on my playstion.
