Viewing/Ripping Text Dialogue in a PSX game
I was thinking if this is at all possible: Viewing and maybe ripping text from inside a PSX game without actually playing through it?
By "text", I mean dialogue and whatnot. Attached are examples of such text, i.e. passages in the gray box that start with "You really amazed me…", "But we need to remember…", and "Hello, Chrisman speaking…" I suppose the most practical purpose for doing this would be to translate it to another language, but I do not intend to do that in the foreseeable future. |

Yes it is possible, but you will need a lot of programming knowledge as there is no general program to do that. So you will need to make you own extrator/insertor. You will have to find the character table if you language uses other signs as "ç" or "ã" or "é" you will have to add them. Resuming it is a hell of a lot of work. I recommend searching for translation forums such as Romhacking.net there are others but i dont remmember now.
