no the PS1 BIOS can only be obtained through a PS1, and likewise the PS2 BIOS can only be obtained through a PS2.

Well no, like the psp when it plays ps1 it doesnt use a bios in a sense. It is more like a part of the ps2 bios so you cant get it out and even if you can it wont work it needs the other components of the ps2 bios to work.

To put it more simply bios is more and less instructions for the hardware and ps2 and ps1 hardware is different and while the ps2 has some ps1 hardware the bios the ps2 has tells it how it to use some of the ps2 hardware to get ps1 games to run essentially it is useless to have the bios and use for ps1 games unless you want to emulate ps1 with ps1 and ps2 hardware which is less compatible to real hardware, much harder to do and much slower than any ps1 emulator available and since it emulates to sets of hardware it may even be slower than any ps2 emulators.

If there was any benefit to get ps1 bios out of the ps2 bios it would have been done so already but there is no point as if it was possible it wont work with any emulator period.

PSP is using a PSX BIOS, a modified version of SCPH-100. Info.

the ps2 bios contains code which is used to boot PSX discs, however, the PS2 bios must be invoked before this code can boot the disk.

yes but it is not possible to extract the bios/code and use them with a psx emulator without modification and possibly work on the emulator as well
