Are you trying to copy your original PS CDs ? If so, I think you just copy them as usual, and use the patch for VGS because there is a patch to run your copy of the original CDs on your VGS although I haven't tried it yet. Try http://www.aldostools.com to find that patch |

I've heard installing Nero can cause problems with VGS, so be cautious.

Nero should be able to copy most copyrighted CDs. The only CDs I could not backup at all with Nero is Descent 3 (but then again no program can make 1:1 copies of that game). There are various software available on the internet that'll allow you to bypass copy protection on CDs so you can try searching for them.

If you have the right kind of CDR/W then you can copy psx games straight up.... there are many articles on *deleted* about copying psx games. Basically it says that you can just copy psx games straight up and you will have no problems, unless you plan on playing them on the actual psx. The copywrite protections are not the same as with pc games, they lie in the detection of a backup (hence a mod chip) so if you intend on using VGS you can just go to Nero's cd copy and burn (though I would set it to force raw, and write uncorrected just in case)............... I have copied ALL my PSX games with it and Im only using the (very old by now) creative CDR-W 4224 24x4x2, which is about 3 or 4 yrs old by now. But if your looking to make a playable copy, on PSX (provided you have a mod chip) then you only need to make an image on your HD, get one of the patches from gamecopyworld, follow the directions, then reburn onto media..... Hope this helps, and hope I havent posted anything not allowed in here....

the problem is that the writer is a cousin of mine, and he only installs it, you can't copy it 'cause he thought that such a good program can't be used by outcomers.... so he implanted a low level formatting virus that is activated in the PC that receives the copy... if not, I would send it to you.... |

You know? I had the same problem with FFIX, matter of fact I couldnt get it to run very well, thought it was my puter or something like that... I had to end up making an ISO with another program then burn it with Nero. The other discs worked JUST fine, as well as the other FF series... hmmmmmm ODD. Sorry bout going off topic ....

FF IX CD1 might be pertected, because when you can't get CD1 to work, you won't able to play other 3 CD unless you have a saved game. Anyways, it worked when I burned under clone cd usng RAW format with no sub chanel data and sub audio data.
