Code:
PEC wrapper 2.50

Allows current PEC 2.5 to use updated ePSXe functions:
- visual cursor
- visual vibration
- set fixes
- set framelimit

For ePSXe 152,160,170:
- pec keys activate immediately on game startup
- pec now works for all games
- auto-clear the dynarec table (opcode changes)

Instructions:
1. Install Playstation Emulation Cheater [pec]
2. Place the 'bin' files to your ePSXe plugin directory where pec is
3. Choose 'pec_wrapper 2.50' as your GPU plugin
v2 fixes:
- Allows pec to work for all ePSXe games (dmaChain not required)

v3 fixes:
- Automatically clear the dynarec tables to make opcodes cheats work better

Need a little help guys. Just got into this emulators stuff and I couldn't find an answer any where online (googled & searched this forum) so I figure I add to this post because the problem is similar to some of the post on this thread.

Pec installs fine and i directed the gpupec.dll to be written in the epsxe170/plugins folder. When I started the epsxe170 emu and go to config > video, the select/config video menu drop down list saids "psx emulation cheater 2.5" in it and I believe that the pec did install it right and it does detect it; however, when I hit "configure" again nothing is in the drop down list and after that... well no gpu to run the games. Any help would be appreciate it.

OS: Windows 7 ultimate RTM (I did do compatibility to run w/ xpSp3)

pec_wrapper v3 is available

Some codes change the opcode data. Normally this requires a 'ctrl+f' or 'ctrl+r' to flush the game's dynamic recompiler tables.

v3 will clear them everytime you 'ctrl+g' to change codes. So those opcode changes reflect immediately.

(Already 20 downloads so I'll make a new post)

Hopkat told me that v3 could use improving with the dynarec clearing. So I took her advice and now it works more robust.

PEC_wrapper users please re-download the v3 plugin again. Thank you!

So what's the difference between PEC and PEC Wrapper 3?

Doesn't PEC already work for all games?

the wrapper improves the capability of the gpupec plugin to apply cheats to certain games which uses abnormal DMA access (i think)

That's the important one

ex. Rebel Assault II does everything using normal writes, so PEC can't find the RAM address. I had to manually add a fake DMA to register it.

There's a few other games I tested which has that problem also.

Plus, some don't let you turn on cheats until much later in the game. This activates PEC immediately at bootup.

And manually clearing the dynamic recompiler tables is a little bothersome - turn off codes, clear, turn them back on. So pec_wrapper does it for you for those 1-hit kills.

Lastly, PEC is too old to support new 1.7.0 features (visual rumble and misc code). Not important but the support is there now.
