I was wonding the same thing, would it be legal to use the files for a non-commercial game (giving credit to square enix)? Like a private server on an MMORPG etc.

It's legal (because there is no money making involved), but i don't think Square would like it if they found out ///_^

my kingdom hearts series

if I could completely like, rip the game and have everything, all models, all animations, all rooms, just, everything at my disposal, I would make the illest kingdom hearts series and the whole thing would flow like the cutscenes and I would produce my own cutscene like clips to fill the ones already made.I'd movie-ify the scenes that have to be played through. i'd re-create all the convo's with the speach bubbles.only if this was the case you wouldnt be able to tell which was home made and which was a cutscene if you didnt play it.also my fight scenes would rock.I'd have sora do all of his programmed stuff and just how I think he would fight based on what hes programmed to do.can anyone offer any advice ? I've never done such a thing.but unfortunately no one else seems to have thought of it or wants to do it.

hey, im new here, just stoped by, googling around for a ps2 model ripper :P
i have Pcsx2 on my comp, and i can play games... since games are playabe, theres a way to rip them Correct? for personal use ofcourse, Cough...

Anyways i was wondering if anyone has/knows of a program that can Extract Models, and textures from a ps2 disk... Preferably with anims, but its not a must, as i have the skills it would take to rig/animate them...

Ive been searching for a few hours, and am runing low on ideas, so help/direction to help would be greatly apreciated. Also an email would be the preferable method, as i honestly cant say i will be hanging around :P

I usually play warcraft 3 though...

Is that the tool that analyzes frames of the current running application and saves 3D models of what is being displayed? If so, that won't work with PCSX2 because it'll make everything look flat as a sheet of paper.

Hey guyz I just dumped the models onto my harddrive. I need to make a movie for a school project so it's very helpful if guyz can answer this fast.

I dumped my models from Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix. I can view the models and everything, but the only problem is when I try and capture the image the model viewer crashs. I am using a Vista. Thanks for taking the time to answer the question!

I downloaded the viewer and stuff ( the 4 part zip from NexXxus)...Is there a tutorial on how to get the models? Or tutorial start to finish on this process...that'd be great. I really want to get this reference. With the viewer can you turn on wireframe or turn off the textures? I want to see how its built.....

This is probably a bump, and I really apologize if it is. But I recently got hold of the Kingdom Hearts2 NTSC Iso off a friends computer, I don't understand how to use the KH2dump program. I know that sounds stupid, and really it is, but I just can't get it.
I've extracted the contents from the Kingdom Hearts 2 games, and deleted the original Iso. I think I need it, do I? I work as a 3d artist, and would like to use some of these as a good bases.
Once again, I apologize.

Thanks,
Preston556

I forgot to explain what I do. I've extracted the contents of the Kingdom Hearts 2 game into a Kingdom Hearts 2 folder (ofcourse =D). I put the KH2Dumper and batch into that folder, I drag and drop the KH2 Iso onto the Dumper, and about a minute later, I get a "Send Error Report" message. Can someone please help?
