The wavetable is usually well-hidden somewhere on the game DVD. If you are really interested in this, visit www.neillcorlett.com/psf .
If you are talking about Psound I found it here. I should say, I don't know for sure that this is the actual wavetable. The program actually extracts around 2500-3000 different samples from the Xenosaga 2 disc, most of them are sound effects and battle quotes(although it was able to extract the song from the title screen from some reason). Only 713 of those samples that are extracted sound like notes from the music in the game(some are quite recognizable), they weigh in at about 47MB.

Edit:schattenberg88, that would be very much appreciated.

"Yes. This is a different method that I have posted on an earlier thread and I believe it also works for FFX. Click here. Hope it helps!

GiGaHeRz, I'm not trying to take away from your tool with this guide, if it seems like I am." -I posted the same thing one page back for another game.

This might be interesting for some of those PSF rippers out there, although I suppose that they made such a tool themselves, already.

I have done this tons of time Alexubas, and I didn't realize that you had such limited space. That guide will take up about 10Gb if you save everything you do and dont delete anything in the process. I am attaching a program that only works for Final Fantasy X. This program extracts all the movies and converts them into MPG files. Enjoy!
Attached Files
File Type: zip FFX2MOV.zip (54.1 KB, 187 views)

There is no Extractor/Guide that extracts Kingdom Hearts FMV's yet. Here is a guide for FFX-2. This will take about 5Gb before finishing, due to creating an ISO on the computer. When you extract the LBA file right click on it where its located and go to "EDIT" Scroll down to the bottom and delete all lines except the lines where FILE(Whatever) is located[other words keep that whole entire string on that line]. It varries between PAL and NTSC. I have also gone ahead and narrowed it to the 11 FMV's for both PAL and NTSC.

For PAL, keep these lines in the LBA that contain:
FILE9366-FILE9376
For NTSC, keep these lines in the LBA that contain:
FILE9118-FILE9128

That will save you tons of disc Space. Hope it helps!

I have no idea as to what games are supported. All the FMV extractor does is looks for files that have a .PSS/.MPG file structure. The movies don't even have to be hidden for this extractor to work. All I can say is to try out your different games and see which ones work.

Red face

Hello there, nice tool you made, but I have a couple of questions:

First: I'm a bit curious with the thing of 'Disc Type 5 (My case) - Unknown.'. Why is that? Is it because my games are PAL games? Or it is related to something else? So far I've tried with Forbidden Siren ESP PAL edition, and The Getaway 1 PAL edition, and the following.

Second: I've passed the searcher of this tool, but it didn't downloaded any movies from my Final Fantasy X disc (ESP PAL too). Why that happens?

Thanks for reading.

BTW; i've also had the feezing issue when pressing Start, but some minutes later it works.

#1: Which DVD plugin do you use? Try making an ISO instead...

#2: Good question... It might only support the NTSC version of FFX.

1.- Latest PEOps.
Oh, and I was able to extract all the FMVs on Forbidden Siren. Getaway 1, FFX and The Bouncer (Sorry, missed it), gave nothing to me.

As far as I know, FFX uses its own "special" format. I really don't know what to do with that game...

Not that I'm aware of. You can try the tool and see what happens though. and report back. This tool should only extract videos. I've got it to get music before but I cant remember how I did it. Best of luck though, and welcome to the Forum!
