Because, it is possible that it won't work on the game that you are trying to use it on. as far as I know it is not compatable with all games yet and some are encryped differently then others. just wait for other versions and I'm sure GiGaHeRz will be able to figure everything out . given time of course

if they are using ANY kind of compression or encryption, then it won't find them. I haven't implemented any decryption in it. A lot of games just have the data there, and that's why it works with them.

And I can't get 05 to work. First it said I needed a plugin, so I downloaded that Peops one (1.2) and then I get this error: Runtime error: 453. Can't find DLL entry point WrapLoad in reader.dll
IIRC, 0 means "ok"

You should have read the instructions for B05. In previous betas you had to rename the dll but in B05 you must have the dll that comes with the program and then place the plugin in the same folder (with other names).

For anyone interested, there's a mirc script which converts "/me 's" into " * nickname's whatever" and adds a nice "/my" command.

You need a special tool with a special codec to play them. When I get home I'll post it.

I'm trying to extract the FMVs from the PS2 game Fullmetal Alchemist and the Broken Angel. The game features about 20 minutes of original anime that would be very popular if it could be ripped. I've tried 2 programs other than this and nothing works. There's not pss file but when i used the program FMV-Extractor I found 3 Bitmap Images (410, 330, and 12 MB in size). Obviously these can't be .bmp being that large. Any ideas?

Is there an ETA on when you'll get home? Or could someone just tell me what it's called and let me google it?

I can't get any FMVs out of Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne, Digital Devil Saga: Avatar Tuner, or even Digital Devil Saga: Avatar Tuner 2. It'd be great if anyone pointed me in the right direction about how to extract this stuff. I've already tried this tool, Cube Media, everything.

If it helps, the files in question look a lot like this:
Code:
E602_001.IPS
E602_002.IPS
E606_001.IPS
E606_002.IPS
E615_001.IPS
E615_002.IPS
E620_001.IPS
E620_002.IPS
E631_001.IPS
E633_001.IPS

regsvr32 c:\Program Files\ps2play\ps2splitter.ax
regsvr32 c:\Program Files\ps2play\AspectChange.ax
regsvr32 c:\Program Files\ps2play\ps2pcmdecoder.ax

Have fun

still doesn't work. I've registered the codecs, but WMP still refuses to play them.
PS2play will only open .PSS files, which these arent. Forcing it to load the file will cause it to crash upon clicking PLAY.

This means that the files you got AREN'T the file format PS2Play recognizes.

BTW: If they were PSS (no matter what file extension) files, WMP would at least have played them in black/white without sound...

You should of course use the right paths for the Codecs.

For instance, if you extracted them in x:\The biggest rubbish\some odd tools\ps2play you should of course type in

regsvr32 x:\The biggest rubbish\some odd tools\ps2play\ps2splitter.ax
regsvr32 x:\The biggest rubbish\some odd tools\ps2play\AspectChange.ax
regsvr32 x:\The biggest rubbish\some odd tools\ps2play\ps2pcmdecoder.ax

Oops. Sorry, I forgot about this. Your command lines should therefore look like this:

regsvr32 "c:\Program Files\ps2play\ps2splitter.ax"
regsvr32 "c:\Program Files\ps2play\AspectChange.ax"
regsvr32 "c:\Program Files\ps2play\ps2pcmdecoder.ax"

Somehow, I'm not sure how, but 05 suddenly decided to work. And it still didn't find anything, not that I expected it to mind you. I've come to this conclusion: Shadow Hearts Covenant must either be encrypted or not mpgs at all, you know like some other format. I'm not going to give up on getting the FMVs, but...I'm something at a loss as to where to proceed from here.
