Sorry, to ask this at such an early stage of this fab program, but will it ever be able to find the music in the game? I know it's called the FMV Search and Excrator, but you never know...

the problem with music in ps2 games es that they don't have any standard headers. Sound data is composed of ADPCM blocks. There are some file formats for that, but only some games use them. And also, some games make the music in realtime, using some kind of "mods" (like .mod, .s3m, .it modules), and I don't know the format the games use...

Ack yeah I figuired it out late last night. Stupid me. Got em to work and use PS2play so I have sound, Only question is if its possible to fast forward in PS2play. I dont see the option.

No and no (as far as I know).

BTW: That disc info thingie will only give you half of the contents, because the second layer is hidden somehow and Windoof can't find it. To get the right sector number, run DVD Decrypter (search Google), select Mode -> ISO -> Read. You should see some information stuff in the right half of the screen, e.g.:

P.E.Op.S CDVD Driver.
AFAIK, the latest version is 1.1. You can use cdvdbin if you want to read from an iso/bin image

i used the plugin and configured it but when i press start the program freezes can anyone help me

This is weird... the program shouldn't freeze there. Are you sure you configured it correctly?

i'm using windows 98 and have it configured to my dvd rom drive can you help me with the other options?

I installed vb6 and he proram opens. Renamed the cdvd plugin to reader.dll and put it in the same folder as the main program. Opened it and configured the plugin (drive and read mode), checked "get the sector..." and then i clicke don start searching and at this point it just freezes, it doesnt even try to read the dvd and in the log it keeps saying press start to begin. What am i doing wrong?

Wait, i just checked the option of "don't wait for the dvd drive" or something like that (i'm extracting right now so i can't check it

) It's strange since this is the fist time i see it being needed. For those interested my drive as a liteon.

The program only uses the plugin functions, so it should work using the same config you need to make it work in the emu, so if it works there, it should work here, but who knows...

I have never tried the pcsx2. That is why i didn't know

What i found strange is that no other emu/plugin with that option available has needed it with my drive until now. God knows...

i configured to do the "don't wait till drive ready" thing and it said it was searching and it looked like it was, but when it finished, i didn't get any fmv's, what's up wit dat? btw, does it work with kingdom hearts?

Never tried, maybe it doesn't. Remember that the tool can only find FMVs that are in standard mpeg streams, and only if the data is uncompressed and unencrypted
