Question Eye Toy Drivers?

Ok. A couple of days ago I bought an eye toy for my ps2. Anyways for the sheer hell of it I decided to plug it into my pc... and surprisingly it recognised it as an "eye toy usb namtai" device. However no drivers of course. Does anyone know of any project to write one? Just to satisfy my curiousity

Heh, cool

Not that I've heard of. Maybe search warp2search or some site like that?

Re: Eye Toy Drivers?

It's a web cam that acts like a controller. Eg// for the boxing game you punch in the air and you hit your game opponent, or for the dancing game you follow the moves of the character on screen.

Re: Eye Toy Drivers?

If you have a dvd rom, have you looked on the cd it came with to see if there is anything of interest?

Re: Eye Toy Drivers?

Maybe you should try to decompile the game code and see what the game does, and try to make a windows driver that does the same...? (heh, I know that understanding a ps2 code isn't easy )

EDIT: I said "decompile", and I meant "Disassemble"

My weblog... not like if there was too much to read on it tho.
For anyone interested, there's a mirc script which converts "/me 's" into " * nickname's whatever" and adds a nice "/my" command.

Re: Eye Toy Drivers?

Erm I think I'll pass . I don't really have any need for a webcam, just more due to my insane curiousity .
