PS2 Movies & Audio

is there a soft like psmplay or psxmc (ps1) which can read (and encode) ps2 games movies and audio ?
(scuse my bad english, i'm french:existe til des logiciels permettant de lire les audios et videos de jeux ps2 (et de les encoder), comme psmplay et psxmc (pour la ps1) ?)

The current PS2 movie players can only play movies which aren't hidden in DAT files, or FFX NTSC. I can't give you the link here as the site also contains illegal content.

This is surprising, but Kane double posted

BTW Kane you said that there is a player, I don't get it. I mean the one I have can only extract the .mp2v file and it has to be viewed on a seperate player. Is there an independant player?

If there is then you can name it. We'll search it ourself....

Question: if such player exists, why doesnt ngemu.com get the file from its source and host it here in the download section after getting the author's permission ? ( and remove any reference to the original site in case the ROM issue is a big problem,........)

good suggestion !
i would like to have a soft that can play AND encode ps2 movies and sounds ...
but if there is a player, and an encoder, that would be great too ...

you need a MPEG2 encoding/decoding/muxing program such: tmpeg or bbmpeg. tmpeg can split pss files to streams. the video stream is then playable with any mpeg2 player. the audio is usually sony-adpcm, but can be anything else... in vf4 streams the audio is an adx file.
