Oh, god, u see the title? such thing never exists. I just want some answers here. i'm not so professional and may make mistakes.
As pcsx2 decrypts and decodes everything, why can't those guys make a Ultimate FMV decrypter/decoder/player?? (foolish me) because they must know how the PS2 system and bios work, and the location of things like encryption info, codec and LBA table(with hidden files). nexxxus said "The problem is that the codec is compiled for the PS2 system, it only can be emulated over PCSX2" but can't they just first make things original then extract FMV by LBA table, decrypt by encryption info, play or convert FMV by codec??? everything can be found on PS2 DVD or PS2 bios, and they know where are, right?? god~~i've been so naive and silly~ anyway, share your thoughts please~

well, you can program an PS2 application wich can control the video codec of the game, a video player so far.
There already exist a similar thing: PSF2, a program wich can play audio files by using the game's own codec, and the PSF2 Plugin called "highly experimental" wich is an simple PS2 emulator to run the drivers/codecs and play the audio files. The same can be done for videos, but you should remember that PCSX2 isn't able to play all video formats properly.

pss and sfd containing mpeg2 video and AC3 or adpcm audio,
those codecs are in the PS2 bios. And also playable with Gabest's Mediaplayer classic
